Eucharistic Adoration:
Our Father's Adoration Chapel is open 24 hours except on Sunday from
9:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. to allow for cleaning.
Anyone wishing to purchase a candle to
burn in the chapel can do so by enclosing $7.00 in an envelope and
putting it in the regular weekend collection. Please specify your
intention in your envelope.
R.C.I.A : The
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is a journey into the
Catholic Church. Anyone in joining the Church should phone
Fr.Danny at the parish office at 894-3486.
Cathedral
Choir Practice The Cathedral Choir will practice every
Thursday at 7:15 PM. New members are always
welcome!
Lost and Found Check with
janitorial staff or parish secretary regarding items lost in the
church.

the weekend bulletin will be accepted up to Thursday at 12 noon in

Parish
Activities:
Ash Wednesday: There
will be Mass at 7:00AM, 12:05PM and 5:10PM on February 25,
2004.
Mass Change: Beginning Ash Wednesday,
all Masses will be held in the main Church.
Ash Wednesday & Good
Friday: Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of fasting
and abstinence from meat. Those 14 years of age and older are
obligated to abstain from meat and the law of fasting binds those
from 18-59 years of age.
The Rite of Election:
All people of the Diocese are invited to the annual celebration of
the Rite of Election which will take place on the first Sunday of
Lent, February 29, 2004 during the 5PM Mass at St.Dunstan's
Basilica. Bishop Fougere will be presiding. The Catechumens who have
been preparing for Baptism will be presented to the Bishop and will
sign the Book of Elect. Candidates for Full Communion in the Church
will also be recognized and blessed during this celebration as we
all continue our journey towards Easter renewal.
Ash Wednesday Collection: Bishop
Fouogere has asked that this collection go to help with the cost of
World Youth Day that was held on Toronto.
Coffee and Creed:
Starting Sunday, February 29, 2004 for Lent we will be
having cofee and an adult catechism session during the children's
catechism class time in the church basement. Coffee will be served
at 10:00AM and our session will begin at 10:10AM and go until
10:45AM. Each session is separate and will be on a different aspect
of our faith. This is a great opportunity, hope to see you there!
All are welcome.
"What We Believe" Adult
Catechism: Starting Sunday, March 7, 2004 at 6:30-7:30PM in
the church basement. There will also be an adult catechism covering
topics relevant to the Catholic Faith. There will bea total of
5 sessions, each being held on Sunday evening during Lent. Everyone
is welcoome and bring a friend.
Pilgrimage to
Medjugorje: You are invited to come on this pilgrimage to
Medjugorje, April 30-May 10, 2004--$1725. Attend talks by the
visionaries and others, and also visit with Fr.Jozo Zovko. Daily

Easter Cantata "The Day He Wore
My Crown": We are recruiting anyone interested in being
part of this Easter Cantata which is tentatively scheduled to take
place at St.Dunstan's Basilica on Wednesday March 31, 7PM. The next
meeting and rehearsal will take place on Tuesday, February 24 fro
6:30PM-8:00PM in the church basement and will continue at this time
on Tuesday evenings. This is a beautiful musical about the life of
Christ from Palm Sunday to the Ressurection. Please join in and
bring somebody with you!

"Looking Good Imside and Out
Convention For Girls": Join girls, ages 9-14, from
all over the Island for the 6th annual Looking Good Imside
and Out Convention. It will take place at the Quality Inn
on the Hill in Charlottetown on MArch 20, from 10-4PM. The day
includes dynamic speakers, lunch, a Hip Hop dance lesson and door
prizes. Cost is $25/girl, family rates available. Please contact
